Why not starting by … Once upon a time… a couple of volunteers (reporter and editor) from Must See In Vietnam on a business and reporting mission with a very tight budget find themselves in full restrictive measure of the pandemic of… you know which one… at An Bang Beach. After exploring the surroundings this couple is looking for a place to stay for a while… and by chance discovers a small sign on which is written in Vietnamese… House for rent! As the house is pretty, neither one – nor two, your Editor calls and luckily makes an appointment. The rest is the story of love at first sight with the house, the owner and her husband and you guess the rest… Wind & Moon Restaurant & Bar
The story begins with an immediate affinity between Your Editor and Diep, whose joy and good humor are the common bond as well as respect and discretion. There is also a 100m alley that connects the main street where we live to the beach.
For those of you familiar with An Bang Beach, you will recognize the series of restaurants overlooking the beach.
This Alley also leads us to the before the last restaurant and this restaurant is that of Diep …
You can imagine that during the period of February-March 2022 An Bang Beach is almost deserted and few restaurants are open or are open to serve the local clientele.
Imagine our surprise to see, one good morning, very early, during our daily walk… Diep and Thai working on the re-opening of Wind & Moon! When I described Diep as a discreet person, she had never revealed this secret to us.
Then, a late afternoon. during our 2nd daily walk on the beach, on the way back home, Diep cordially invited us to toast with her, her spouse and friends… Không Say Không Ve! It was a great evening! And the beginning of a beautiful friendship
Diep did us the honor of being the first customers invited on the day of the official opening… This invitation will always remain with us!
